R&D Formulations Chemist-Specialist Coatings Company-Munich

I currently have an opportunity working as R&D Formulations Chemist for my client, a specialist coatings company who develop Coatings for Wood with applications from home furniture, outdoor hardwood and traditional wooden window frames, so they have quite a number of products in their portfolio meaning that you'll be developing and working on a wide variety of formulations, allowing you to develop your R&D knowledge in a number of areas.

The company you will be working for have over 50 years of history so they are well established in the market and have a stable presence, and working for them is a secure long term option meaning that you will have a lot of job security with them in the long run. They mainly manufacture wood coatings but also produce a limited range of plastic coatings, an area they are hoping to develop in the future, so there is scope for you to branch out and develop knowledge in other areas.

Your role will mainly focus around R&D of Coatings Formulations and you will be working with their existing team which consists of around 10-15 technical experts for wood coating which you will be in direct contact with, meaning that you can actually learn from them and develop yourself professionaly, eventually becoming an expert in the field yourself.

My client is looking for someone with the following key experience:

• Chemistry Degree Preferred
• Several years R&D experience of Wood Coatings Formulations
• Knowledge of purchasing preferred but not essential
• Fluent German and a good level of English
