With over 50 members of academic staff, the School of English is able to offer outstanding teaching across a wide range of subject areas. The School of English is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century Literature, to provide cover while Professor Angela Wright is on a Leverhulme Fellowship. You will have, or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant area, experience of teaching and will contribute to teaching and examining at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels. You will also be expected to undertake appropriate administrative duties.

You will be expected to teach undergraduate modules in Restoration and Eighteenth-Century Literature, and Romantic and Victorian Prose and Poetry, as well as delivering a number of seminars upon Romantic Gothic to a specialised MA module, and contributing more broadly to the delivery of our successful MA programmes in Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century Literature.
