Reporting to the Director of Finance for the PKI Informatics Software Business Unit, this individual will support the Global Informatics leadership team by providing insightful financial analysis and ensuring integrity of reported information. He/she will have worked in the software industry and have the ability to translate business problems to analytical deliverables, and forecast with a high level of predictability. This is a high visibility role that offers significant growth potential and frequent interactions with senior management.

The individual will be responsible for operationalizing quarterly and annual business plans, including the bottoms-up development of the annual revenue budget, the development of a broad range of models including financial forecasting and business models, and the deployment of targets and quotas in conjunction with Sales planning functions and Sales and Finance management.

The individual will need to partner effectively with Software, Sales, and Finance management and will need to be able to work in a matrix organizational structure. This person will support the sales leadership and provide data and analysis that will guide decisions and will ensure that the businesses are supported by sound operational, strategic, market and financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Informatics and Sales leaders to provide meaningful weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis that enables the team to hit its revenue and profitability commitments.
  • Support the sales forecast throughout the quarter, including renewal and book and ship forecasting while identifying and communicating risks and opportunities.
  • Business Analysis Support- including the examination of financial drivers behind each of the functional sales groups and customer segments, and understanding the key drivers of cost, scale, productivity, efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.
  • Build financial models and drives the development of strategic long-term financial plans, investment plans, and go-to-market options.
  • Drive the short-term financial and operational plans (budgets and forecasts).
  • Assist with the annual operating plan process, ensuring that plans are aligned with management expectations and captured accurately in the PKI financial reporting system
  • Other ad hoc requests as needed; e.g. sales performance analysis, impacts of discounting, services attach rates, etc.
