The Department of Geography & Environment is now seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Human Geography to contribute to teaching and teaching administration in support of our undergraduate programme in human geography.

You will have links to the Economy, Governance, Culture (EGC) Research Group and will deliver teaching to students at undergraduate level, through allocated lectures, tutorials, practicals, fieldwork and/or seminars. In particular, you will be expected to support primarily teaching in social and cultural geographies, geographies of nature, qualitative research methods, and/or fieldtrip activities.

The position is fixed term for 6 months to provide Maternity Cover.

You will have, or be about to be awarded, a PhD in human geography or a related field (or equivalent professional qualifications),detailed understanding and knowledge of human geography and undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching experience. Experience of teaching in the areas and contexts listed above would be desirable. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate complex information effectively, engaging the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience and delivering lectures and practical teaching relating to different aspects of human geography.
