We are seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated statistician to join the PDSAFE Trial Team.  Funded by the NIHR HTA programme, the PDSAFE study is a randomised controlled trial looking at the effect of exercises and strategies on reducing falls in people with Parkinson’s disease.  The post-holder will worker closely with a team to provide statistical support and assistance in the analysis and dissemination of results for the PDSAFE Trial.

Applicants should be motivated, well organised, and have an interest in clinical trials. You will have a flexible approach to tasks and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will have a first degree in a related area, and preferably hold, or be about to obtain, an MSc in Biostatistics or closely related discipline. A working knowledge of SPSS and Stata is essential, and familiarity with other statistical packages such as SAS or R is highly desirable.

Meticulous attention to detail will be required in collating study data and organising results, and experience of writing reports and papers for publications is required.  You will be able to organise your own activities to deadline and quality standards to ensure the efficient and timely completion of the trial. You will have the ability to communicate statistical issues to non-statisticians.
