Job Description

Within the department of Clinical Psychological Science (CPS) of the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience there are three vacancies for Assistant Professors.

0.45 fte of your work is devoted to educational activities in the clinical psychology and mental health courses of bachelor or master curriculum of FPN and FHML. Guiding students in writing their bachelor or master thesis is also an important part of your educational work.

The remaining 0.55 fte has to be devoted to conducting research on psychopathology, within the tradition of Experimental Psychopathology (EPP). Your research interest should reasonably fit within the research spectrum of the EPP research institute at Maastricht University, and hence represent one or more of the following domains: behavioral medicine, forensic psychology, eating disorders and obesity, and clinical psychology (including developmental psychopathology; see http://www.epp-research.nl.

It is possible to combine your educational and research activities with clinical work at the outpatient treatment center of Virenze Maastricht (max. 0.2-0.3 fte).

Requirements
  • You have a master degree in Psychology and have acquired a Ph.D. title on the basis of research on abnormal/clinical psychology, preferably within the context of EPP.

  • You have very good research qualities as evidenced by a strong publication track-record.

  • You are capable of initiating and maintaining your own research line (by writing grant proposals), while collaborating with other researchers within the EPP research institute at Maastricht University or the Dutch-Flemish EPP Research School.

  • You have good educational competencies and skills, and already possess a BKO certification.

The gross monthly salary depends on experience (scale 10 or scale 11).
