Trade Compliance Specialist - utilise a sales or chemistry background within controlled substances.
Working with a multinational organisation operating across a range of sectors and divisions, this is an opportunity for somebody with a Chemistry background and brief supply chain and logistics experience. Our client operates in a technically orientated and commercial orientated environment. Therefore, you will get a chance to have broad exposure.
Our client is seeking a professional with a sales background to work with the sales teams who handle controlled substances globally.
In this position you will work with the sales team and handle sales inquiries. This will include customer audits, the supply of those substances (so working with transportation and logistics) as well as information collating.
As a Trade Compliance Coordinator you will have overall management of the controlled drugs process, managing and delivering reporting for the regulatory bodies.
This will mean working with regulatory authorities, suppliers and third party stakeholders. You will also work with country embargo's, import and exportation licensing and a variety of other tasks.
You will have management responsibilities of purchasing and logistics administration staff as well as interpreting chemical structures and providing advice on drug classification queries
Export licensing for compliance with EU Anti-torture and Dual-Use Goods regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educated to degree level, ideally within Chemistry
Either a strong background within controlled substances OR Trade Compliance. If the latter, you will have experience with import and export licensing, country embargo's and other related areas.
Experience and knowledge of Transport Regulation
Those with Regulatory Compliance experience within pharmaceuticals (drug substances) can also be considered.
