Sales Director - Antibiotics and Cardiology Pharmaceuticals - UK


Canadian Pharmaceutical Corporation is currently expanding throughout Europe. With a European Headquarter in Switzerland and a strong sales force established throughout European region they are looking for a Sales Director in the UK.

The company specialises in speciality pharmaceuticals - cardiology indication. However, recently they have acquired infectious disease and antibiotics business. In this role you will be leading the Regional Key Account Managers, developing sales strategies and making sure the targets and financial objectives in designated areas are reached. You will also be part of launching the new antibiotics product portfolio in the UK.

It is a truly hands-on role, where you will be leading a team, supporting the sales professionals and representing the organisation by dealing with the certain Key Opinion Leaders yourself. You will be developing effective business relationships with KOLs, collaborating with main departments internally (medical affairs, supply chain, regulatory affairs, legal and others), if needed doing performance management with the Key Account Managers.

You will also be part of the strategic leadership team - dealing with budgets, allocating resources, and monitoring the sales activities.

It is an exciting position for a truly involved professional due to the organisational start-up character, who wants to be part of a growing business and have a chance to influence the further development of the organisation.

Requirements:

  • At leas 10 years experience in Pharmaceutical industry as a Sales Manager (speciality pharmaceuticals is a must)
  • Extensive Management experience to lead staff and deliver results
  • Knowledge of infectious disease, antibiotics and /or cardiology/OR in hospital setting
  • Ability to sell and also coach and lead the team independently
  • Autonomy and organisation skills
