Molecular Biologist / Cell Culture Scientist

This is a rare opportunity for a post doc (PhD) or experienced Biological scientist to work for an FMCG organisation boasting some of the best technology in the industry. Our client is looking for a biological scientist with experience in invitro testing and techniques such as PCR.

This position is mainly working on the biology side rather than chemistry where you will be responsible for working with assessment of biological changes. The trial is to exposing humans to the end product and then assess the biological changes that occur on the human. Therefore looking at molecular biology via in-vitro and PCR testing methods.

As a Biological / Molecular scientist you will conduct the biological analysis - so looking at protein changes, DNA damage etc. You will work with the exciting part of science in an increasingly regulated industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educated to degree level within Biology or related scientific discipline

Candidates MUST have cell culture experience and knowledge (it does not matter whether this is within industry or academia).

Post graduate degree with 3-5 years in the lab.

It is a bonus if you have DNA damage assay experience or in-vitro. PCR testing methods experience is also a bonus (Polymerase Chain Reaction)

Display awareness and ability for research and development.

Ability to communicate and present with confidence

Can relocate with no issues.

Happy to work within the tobacco sector.
