Associate Professor/Professor - Division Director
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, Texas, is seeking a Director of newly formed Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology.
The successful candidate should have a MD degree or equivalent and a satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Allergy and Immunology or Rheumatology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified/eligible in Allergy and Immunology or Rheumatology. The Division is interested in candidates at Associate Professor or full Professor with a strong interest in building a robust clinical practice.
The aspirant for this position should have demonstrated commitment to patient care, education and scientific advancement. The section of Allergy and Immunology has strong interest in airway inflammation and asthma. The section of Rheumatology has a busy outpatient clinic practice and research interest in antiphospholipid syndrome. Both subspecialties have a long standing ACGME approved fellowship training programs. Prior experience with clinical trials is a preferred. Salary and benefits are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
