This position will be part of a growing team responsible for the global software revenue recognition of PerkinElmer, Inc., and related subsidiaries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and complete revenue transaction deal analysis and conclusion for each signed arrangement under your review
- Ensure revenue from global software offerings is recognized in accordance with GAAP
- Review and document complex, multi-element revenue contracts with supporting authoritative literature
- Review and monitor various balance sheet accounts across numerous ledgers related to revenue (e.g. Deferred Revenue)
- Communicate Revenue Recognition guidelines to various functions globally
- Support Sales Executives, Legal Professionals and Finance team in the negotiation and deal structure of customer license arrangements to ensure favorable terms and conditions while being consistent with the Company's revenue recognition policies
- Review revenue related guidance from SEC and FASB and apply as required
- Provide guidance and suggest improvements to the Company's revenue review and recording process where improvements to process quality or scalability could be achieved
- Coordinate revenue requirements for audits as necessary including working with auditors to answer questions and provide support for the Company's revenue recognition
- Maintain fair value (VSOE) price lists within the company's ERP system and complete periodic VSOE testing
- Assist in the preparation for the new revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 — Revenue From Contracts With Customers) to develop a strategic action and implementation plan
