Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a new position to provide technical support in the Flow Cytometry Facility. This critical research core facility within the Faculty of Medical and Veterinary Sciences is housed in the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. Responsibilities will include quality control, operation and maintenance of the BD analysers and Influx FACS sorter in the facility. The post holder will also assist in training and guidance for facility users, and help in troubleshooting issues related to the flow cytometers in the facility. Assisting users with instruments and relevant software analysis programs will be central tasks. Therefore, experience with flow cytometry is essential, and in-depth knowledge of cell sorting, cytometers, and cytometry analysis software is highly desirable. In addition, the post holder will perform routine laboratory tasks.
