Job Details
The recently published purity texts from Qumran attest an intriguing mix of a halakhic discourse interspersed with phrases familiar from the sectarian literature including matters of communal organization. This project will explore the literary character of this material and offer a comparative analysis that pays attention both to the sectarian literature and the broader halakhic corpus found at Qumran and beyond.
Funding Notes
There are a limited number of funding opportunities within the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion; however, competition for these scholarships is fierce and only those with the highest credentials are likely to be successful. For more information see:

Enquiries from self-funded students are also welcome.
