The Sr. Specialist, HR Data Science position is responsible for leveraging advanced analytic techniques to quantify, forecast, predict, and influence human capital decision making. This position works within the Workforce Analytics team to influence leadership on all aspects of human capital strategy, planning and execution.

Responsibilities:

- Supports the development of statistical models & methodologies in order to quantify, forecast, or predict & thereby influence human capital decision making.
- Conducts advanced data analysis and utilizes/develops appropriate algorithms to discover patterns and associations.
- Effectively communicates findings and methodological approaches to business audiences.
- Applies advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain, and improve human capital decision making capability
- Supports ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms that have significant impact on business opportunities

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Statistics or other related fields and a minimum of 6 years of experience providing data-driven business analysis and reporting - OR - a Masters degree in similar area of study plus a minimum of 4 years of experience providing data-driven business analysis and reporting
Required:

- Minimum of four years of human capital applied quantitative and qualitative research and analytics experience in a business setting.
- Proficiency in the use of statistical packages (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS—SAS preferred)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, text mining, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, optimization algorithms, and simulation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some industry/business knowledge
Preferred:

- Experience developing analytic solutions to loosely defined business problems by leveraging pattern detection in large datasets
- Experience using machine learning algorithms and simulation software
- Survey design and analysis experience
