Research Associate (Quantitative)

You will work within the Health Economics and Decision Science (HEDS) Section (http://www.shef.ac.uk/scharr/heds) of ScHARR at the University of Sheffield providing support to NIHR Programme Grant entitled ‘The Design, Development, Commissioning and Evaluation of Patient Focused Vascular Services’. In particular, this will involve recruiting healthy volunteers to complete telephone interviews and supporting the development of a new electronic patient assessment questionnaire for use in patients with a range of vascular conditions (ePAQ-VAS).

You will also be involved in the administration of telephone questionnaires to elicit the preferences of members of the general public regarding the organisation of vascular services as well as with the design of the questionnaire and subsequent data analysis. You will be expected to have experience working on quantitative clinical projects that have involved telephone and electronic questionnaires, recruiting patients from clinics and carrying out patient/subject interviews. You will be expected to have experience of quantitative statistical analysis using software such as SPSS or STATA. Experience of working on vascular-related studies and excellent project management and organisational skills would also be desirable. You will have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in a subject with relevance to health services research e.g. psychology, health economics, health services research, medical statistics or relevant experience.

This post is fixed-term for 12 months.
