- Full-time, 3 years fixed-term position, remuneration package: $134K p.a. which includes leave loading and up to 17% super)

We currently have 2 vacancies for Business Development Managers - Faculty of Science who will support researchers and the broader CDIP team to build on existing relationships with industry and other non-government organisations, including the identification of opportunities for commercialisation of the University’s generated intellectual property, as well as identifying and coordinating opportunities for University-wide cross-faculty collaboration.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- appropriate academic qualification and/or extensive equivalent relevant experience
- ability to perceive new opportunities to develop and commercialise research through partnership with industry and develop strategies to capitalise on these opportunities
- ability to foster an entrepreneurial culture and build partnerships between the research, business and government communities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all required professional spheres; academic, administrative, clinical, public and corporate sectors
- demonstrated management and project management skills
- experience of working in industry or a university or research organisation, commercial office or company in a sales/business environment.
Conceptual, analytical and report writing skills related to commercialisation and/or partnership development, experience in the commercialisation of research outputs and technology from public sector institutions and
experience in a management, business development, service or similar role in a business or public sector environment would be highly valued for this role.
