Global Business Development Manager, Home-Office

A business development role with a high technical focus, this opportunity offers a high level of autonomy, responsibility for sales worldwide and home-office working. The role will focus on building up the new Furniture and Automotive business unit for an international coatings company, building new client relationships, establishing the company in the market and proactively chasing business opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing new sales for the company's formulated coating products for wood and plastic applications, focusing on the furniture and automotive sectors in Europe, North America and Central and East Asia. Working closely with the Vice President of Technology, you will be building new geographical markets and growing this business unit over the next few years, growing staff numbers and building a team around you, so there is high potential for managerial progression.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new client relationships across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and North America
• Collaboration with Production and Development departments at potential customers, requiring frequent travel
• Work with R&D to develop new varnishes and coatings formulations for customers
• Formulating sales strategy in collaboration with the Sales Director

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in Sales and Business Development
• Fluent German preferred, Fluent English essential
• In-depth knowledge of the furniture and automotive industries
• Technical or R&D background in the Formulation of Coatings and Varnishes
