Job Details
To support the clinical training in the skills lab and on the clinical training platform and perform other related academic, research and administrative tasks associated with emergency medical care, rescue and related subjects in the Department of Emergency Medical Sciences.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A four (4) year qualification in Emergency Medical Care
- At least two (2) years' clinical experience
- The incumbent is required to be registered with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Practitioner
Recommendation:
- Must be registered for a master's degree in Emergency Medical Care or Emergency Medicine and have a postgraduate qualification in education.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Teaching of clinical skills on the Bachelor’s degree and Diploma Emergency Medical Care
- Undertake clinical medical and rescue skill training and assessments
- Plan, coordinate and supervise clinical activities related to Work Integrated Learning
- Manage the clinical EMS vehicle
