Medical and Administrative Director of Employee Health Services
The Mount Sinai Health System
Employee Health and Wellness Services and the Department of Preventive Medicine of the Mount Sinai Health System are seeking a faculty member for a full-time academic position as Medical and Administrative Director of Employee Health Services for the Mount Sinai Health System. The successful applicant will be board certified in Occupational Medicine, and optimally board certified in one or more of the following: Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Orthopedics or Primary Care.
Familiarity with federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and proven facility with Environmental Health and Safety, Biological and Chemical safety, Zoonoses and other Laboratory Acquired Illnesses, and Infection Control management are essential. In addition to outstanding clinical skills in Occupational Medicine in an outpatient setting, the candidate will be expected to lead and make major contributions to the control of work-related injuries and disease in order to improve clinical outcomes and reduce cost.
Five years or more of experience in managing Employee Health Services in a large academic medical center health program or similar leadership experience is required. An MPH/MBA and experience with clinical research is also desirable but not required.
Appointment at Mount Sinai Health System with an academic appointment at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The Director will be eligible to be certified as a Medical Review Officer, and eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
