The University of Sydney Business School is regarded as a leader in the region, and is one of the very few Australian schools to hold business and accounting accreditation from AACSB International and EQUIS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). It is also the only Australian member school of CEMS, the Community of European Management Schools & International Companies.

The Work and Organisational Studies (WOS) Discipline within the Business School includes leading international scholars investigating management, work and organisations. Our research has national and international significance and policy impact and informs our teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There is a strong tradition of teaching excellence and innovation within the discipline, ensuring we expose students to cutting-edge research. A number of market-leading textbooks in our area of expertise have been written by WOS academics. We nurture critical thinking and relevant industry knowledge to prepare students for their careers. Our graduates report high levels of teaching satisfaction and many of our alumni are leading successful careers in the business, government and community sectors.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding academic with strong experience in the fields of Organisational Studies or Organisational Behaviour to join our teaching and research team in a Level C position.

As the successful applicant you will have:

  • a PhD in organisational studies, organisational behaviour or a related field
  • evidence of high quality teaching with substantial experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • made contributions to course development in organisational studies or related areas
  • an established research record including publications in high quality, peer refereed journals
  • an active research program with significant potential for future publication
  • evidence of successful teamwork and a collegial approach
  • evidence of a commitment to engagement with industry and professional bodies in order to develop innovative teaching programs and expand professional and industry research collaboration.

Remuneration package: $143,714 - $165,562 p.a. (which includes a base salary $121,440 - $140,029 p.a. plus leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation). A salary supplement may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
