Account Administrator

Finance Services are looking to appoint an excellent candidate into the role of Account Administrator. The position will be based within the Faculty Finance Team for the Faculty of Health Sciences, with the role holder being responsible for managing a portfolio of research grants for that Faculty.

The position is of a fixed term to the 31 March 2018.

The role involves working both autonomously and as part of a team and you will be expected to take ownership of your areas of responsibility and deliver excellent results.

You will have the opportunity of working closely with academic staff and key members of the School/Faculty administrative teams. You will be expected to forge good working relationships with the academic staff, who will be your key customers. The ability to convey financial information in a non-financial way is critical in forging these relationships.

The successful applicant will be a person who is pro-active, forward thinking, good at problem solving and able to multi-task. They will have experience of monitoring and analysing financial information and past experience of working in a financial environment is desirable.

Experience of working in an academic environment and or a large complex organisation would be an advantage.
