Position Overview:

Bio-Process Development is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientist in the Cell Line Development group We are seeking highly motivated PhD graduate from Genetics, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology area, with a proven track record in mammalian genome-editing, genetic screening, flow cytometry, and genomics/NGS technologies.

The research project will focus on (but are not limited to):

- Applying cutting edge genomics and system biology technologies to identity transcriptional hotspots within the Chinese Hamster genome.

- Developing targeted gene-expression system.

- Using expression vector engineering, host signaling pathway engineering, forward- and reverse-genetic screening approaches to maximize the productivity & stability of CHO production cell lines for protein therapeutics manufacturing.

Qualifications

Education:

- Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related Biological Sciences with less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience or acquired your PhD by Summer/Fall of 2016.

Required:

- In-depth understanding of mammalian gene expression and regulation mechanisms, genome editing approaches, genetic/epigenetic screening strategies, and genomics/NGS-related technologies.

- Hands-on experiences in DNA vector construction and design, FACS, RT-PCR, NGS data analysis, genome editing techniques and mammalian cell culture techniques.

- A proven track record of critical thinking and scientific achievement, as demonstrated by 1st-author publications in peer-reviewed journals

- Experience of database and statistical and bioinformatics software.
