Job Details
You must be a self-motivated, competent, independent and highly organised person, with the ability to provide a consistently high level of background support to the other teaching technicians within the school. Being able to prioritise your own workload and be aware of the ever changing needs of a teaching laboratory are essential to the smooth running of these teaching facilities. Basic biological knowledge and good communication skills are also highly desirable in prospective candidates.
The Life Sciences Building is only in its second year of operation with exceptional facilities and equipment making it an exciting and innovative environment in which to work.
Whilst the job is advertised as full time/term time only (26 weeks/year) there may be a certain degree of flexibility for the right candidate. Generally core weeks will be 13 weeks autumn term (roughly speaking mid Sept-mid Dec) and 13 weeks spring term (end of Jan to end of May with 3 weeks off over Easter).
Interviews are expected to be held in the week commencing 8th August 2016.
