Teaching Associates (based in Tando Jam and Sukkur)

Responsibilities

These are project based positions where you will be responsible to support students’ education through study circles and classroom teaching and learning, and to maintain close liaison with community and project schools for smooth implementation of the project activities. You will also provide support in data collection, trainings as well as in developing periodic progress reports and case studies.

Specific responsibilities will be to:

• manage and compile data including data collection during baseline and end of project surveys and 
• timely initiation and completion of all project related tasks  
• assist in developing, teaching and managing study circles 
• support and monitor teachers trainings during the project in their classroom teaching and learning activities 
• collaborate and work in coordination with implementing partners, such as government education officials and school staff in project related activities
• develop trainings plans related to various project related trainings and for research based case studies 
• explore training needs of community and project beneficiaries and provide feedback to immediate supervisor and project manager
• prepare presentation, case studies and report based on analysis of data collected from the field sites.

Requirements

You should have:

• a Masters in Social Sciences or in Education 
• minimum three years of related work experience in education including experience in data collection, training and community engagement 
• good interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Sindhi language is a must
• ability to work in a team 
• proficiency in computers, especially MS Office
• willingness to travel to field sites as per requirement of the project.
