Process Development Engineer / Project Manager - Chemicals

My client, a global leader in the chemical industry with over 30,000 employees worldwide, is looking for a Process Development Engineer/Project Leader, to join their supply chain function near the beautiful riverside town of Duesseldorf.

This is a leading role for a chemical/process development engineer, who is looking for an independent position where their main aim is to add value to the business through process improvement whilst leading different plant projects. You would be assigned a certain area of responsibility in regards to plants (mainly Beligum and France) and your main aim would be to project lead and coordinate teams from start to finish, and look at how processes can be improved within production.

The main aim of this position is to track new process technologies and simulate them in pilot plant format. You want to be implementing improvements to production processes, so someone with strong experience in the chemical industry and process technologies would fit in well. Since this role has a high level of travel, you would also get the chance to build a strong network in this field, which could prove to be of extreme value in the future.

We need strong, dynamic and independent personalities who have strong experience in process engineering and leading plant projects.

Other experience needed includes the following:

• Strong experience in a chemical producing environment (Oil and Gas industries would not be relevant enough)
• Process Engineering, Process Development and Project Management experience
• Chemical Engineering background
• Process Management/Improvement is highly desirable
• Fluent in English
