Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit, in the Department of Paediatrics is a South African Medical Research Council and University of the Witwatersrand research unit.  We are running a study examining gestational diabetes in Soweto women.

We invite applications for positions of Enrolled Nurses to work on this current research project.

Requirements: 

Research nurse with current registration with the South African Nursing Council.  Venesection experience required.  A valid driver’s licence essential.

Duties:

  • To assist with the recruitment of eligible participants
  • Collect saliva samples from infants.
  • Collect data
  • Generate reports
  • Liaise with the project coordinator and lead researcher on aspects of the project.
