The School of Physiology is a vibrant, productive, research-orientated School in the Faculty of Health Sciences. We have two contract positions in our School and are therefore looking for individuals to join our team of academic staff to engage in research and teaching, particularly to medical, dental and allied health students. The 50% posts will be filled at a level equivalent to an Associate Lecturer

Duties:

Teaching of physiology and/or medical biochemistry to undergraduates in the health sciences, participation in an active research programme and participation in all academic and administrative activities of the School.

Minimum requirements:

For appointment as an Academic Support Officer the minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in Physiology. Applicants who have a MBBCh, BDS or BVSc degree, or a Master’s degree in Sports Science, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, will also be considered.

Applicants must currently be registered for a PhD degree.

Advantages:

Experience in teaching and evidence of ability to carry out and publish research, will be advantages.
