You will be responsible to manage overall security operations and programmes aimed at the Stadium Road campus by identifying risks & developing action plan to mitigate risks to prevent losses. Supervise and train security staff on the management plans, policies, procedures and on security related subjects and provide a secure environment through an effective access control and an efficient traffic/parking management. Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies. Your role also includes maintaining an efficient emergency response team, protection of high risk patients, staff, students, visitors and VIPs.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as an advisor to the Director in the execution of safety and security responsibilities in accordance with the government regulations.
  • Ensuring a 24 hour response to all security related incidents throughout the campus.
  • Liaising with external agencies e.g. Army, Police, Intelligence and Civil Administration for Law & Order information and outside assistance.
  • Plan and supervise the Electronic Security System (CCTV/Access Control System) efforts and other operational equipment, which include lock and key system at AKU campus by physical examination and routine inspection of facilities and record.
  • Keep the Director, Safety and Security informed/updated on all the operational and administrative matters of Security Operations section.
  • On behalf of Director, Safety and Security, provide security related advise to AKU personnel whenever required/requested.
  • Be prepared to take over the responsibilities of Assistant Manager/Manager Security Investigations on required basis.


Requirements

  • Candidate should be Graduate / Master’s (preferred) with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience including minimum 3 years in a similar capacity preferably in a large organisation. 
  • Trained in military academy with specialization in investigation techniques and intelligence or related courses.
  • Thorough knowledge of protection of life and property in terms of safety and security.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
