Faculty of Medicine - Clinical Informatics Research Unit

The University of Southampton Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU) is based at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. The unit is newly formed and a growing part of the Faculty of Medicine and part of the Cancer Research UK Clinical Centre.

We have a vacancy for a Knowledge Officer / Application Expert to undertake work in rolling out an exciting web-based national medical research management system for the NHS, Higher education intuitions and other international institutions. You will also be involved in leading in the development of services into the exciting arena of electronic clinical research form (eCRF) design. You should have a keen interest in social networking and web-based application design.

You will have experience of web-based systems with proven skills in project management, system and database knowledge and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to demonstrate an interest in research within the NHS and academia and will be highly innovative, motivated, dynamic and able to work to tight deadlines and be prepared to work closely with senior clinical and management staff within the NHS.

The post is available on a full time basis.
