Secretary of the University Council (1.0 fte)
As official secretary working together with the registrar of the University Council the assistant supports chairperson and the members of the council. He/she is also concerned with preparing meetings, taking minutes and supporting the decision-making procedure of the University Council and its committees. In this respect the secretary plays an important role in assisting the members of the Council by supplementing the members with relevant background information, thus promoting the professionalism and effectiveness of the Council.
Together with the clerk, the secretary is concerned with providing introductions and training for new Council members and contributes to organizing participation events.
He/she directs the PR committee of the University Council and coordinates the PR activities of the Council. In this capacity he/she makes proposals for avenues of communication and contributes actively as editor through the provision of constant information via social media and through continuous logistic support and updating of the content on the University Council’s website.Requirements
Higher vocational training (HBO), experience in the field of managerial and policy support, strong analytical/ organizational competences, representative, communicative, excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch; thorough knowledge of university organization, sensitivity for political and managerial relations.Conditions
This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year. Upon positive assessment this fixed-term contract will be followed by a contract for an indefinite period of time.
Salary: maximum € 3222.- gross per month for a full-time position (scale 8 according to the UFO profile for secretary).
