Lecturer in Hydrology

Salary range: £46,970 to £52,350

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Imperial College London, UK, has a vacancy for a Lecturer in Hydrology and are looking for a highly able, enthusiastic and well-motivated applicant wishing to make a career in one of Europe's leading teaching and research Institutions. The post will be hosted within the Environmental and Water Resource Engineering Section (EWRE) (www.imperial.ac.uk/ewre) which is one of the premier, multi-disciplined environmental groups in the UK and internationally.

Applications are invited from individuals with a strong academic record (including a relevant PhD or equivalent) in Surface Water Hydrology and with a particular interest/expertise in computational methods, modelling, and extreme events. Applicants must have a track record of very high quality research, demonstrated by recent exceptional publications in internationally leading journals. Applicants are required to submit together with their application, their 4 best journal papers published in the last 5 years.Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to play a leading role in developing the EWRE’s research in the relevant area, building on and extending the Section’s current activities.
