The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis of diverse data sets to build structure-activity relationships and application of medicinal chemistry problem solving in the context of a drug discovery project. In addition, the incumbent will utilize their deep knowledge of synthetic chemistry problem solving to design, synthesize, purify and characterize drug candidates. Furthermore, he/she will help identify and validate new targets through chemistry and will be responsible for collaborative engagement with the external scientific community. To accomplish the above, the successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills in a team environment.



- A Ph.D. in chemistry (or anticipated in 2016/2017) with experience in methodology/catalysis, total synthesis, chemical biology, or physical organic chemistry


- Experience in methodology/catalysis, total synthesis, chemical biology, or physical organic chemistry


- Experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR

- Experience in therapeutic design and interpretation of biological data

- Ability to mine scientific literature and databases

- Ability to train team members in aspects of synthesis

- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
