Duties and responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate classes in Agri-business.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate classes in Agricultural Extension.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate classes in Livestock.
  • Provide study leadership and guidance at postgraduate level.
  • Initiate, conduct and sustain high-level research and produce research outputs of high quality.
  • Recruit postgraduate students.
  • Attract external funding where possible.
  • Perform general administration duties as applicable at University level.

 

Inherent requirements:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of poster or oral presentations at conferences or equivalent activities.
  • Provide evidence of manuscripts produced that have the potential to be converted or submitted for publication, ideally in an accredited journal.
  • A good academic record.

 

Recommendations:
Willingness to enrol for a doctoral degree at the first available opportunity, if not yet attained by the time of appointment.
Proven research record of relevant publications in accredited national journals.
