Production Planner

As an integral member of the site management team, the Production Planner is responsible for organizing and executing strategies and actions for order fulfillment, promising, scheduling, lead time development, inventory, and warehousing, to meet delivery goals for critical medical devices. The Production Planner will be responsible for creating daily/weekly production plans that will be shared with all production operators, monitoring their progress and reporting results based on adherence to schedule.
 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Planning and Order Fulfillment

•  Knowledge of developing product Bill of Materials and kitting BOMs.
•  Scheduling and order fulfillment of manufacturing operations including multiple work centers.
•  Interface with production to ensure customer requirements are met; ensuring that internal processes are developed and followed to ensure quality, profitability, and on time delivery.
•  Convert approved Master Schedule into daily/weekly timeframes by machine, identifying job name/number, standard labor hours and run rate by utilizing the cost workbook.
•  Monitor on a daily basis adherence to schedule for all equipment and update site metric board.
•  Publish weekly results of the OEE data collected by production for each machine.

Systems/Product Configuration and Inventory

•  Set up and management of inventory systems for product and packaging components.
•  Configuration and use of production planning software functionality.

Material Usage and Reporting

•  Assist with the development and execution of a strategy to report material and labor usage by job.
•  Responsible for developing and implementing a system to account for all scrapped materials.
