Vaccine Scientific & Medical Engagement (S&ME) is comprised of Health Science Consultants (HSCs) and Regional Medical Directors (RMDs). These teams interact with Medical/Scientific Leaders and clinical decision makers using approved resources.

The Health Sciences Coordinator acts as a promotion manager and liaison between the national Vaccine HSC and RMD teams and various internal groups (Marketing, Medical Services, etc.) to support the execution of the S&ME objectives.

Coordinator responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Facilitating development of Scientific Issues and supporting resources including all required approvals and permissions

- Shepherding all resources through the Product Review Team (PRT) system

- Coordinating resource development with external agencies

- Maintaining budgets and inform yearly profit planning

- Liaising with internal support organizations to enhance or maintain systems and data and to ensure compliance with required compliance and/or Legal directives

- Contributing to strategic dialogue with brand teams around scientific strategy

- Contributing to strategic dialogue with segment teams (IDS, Pharmacy, Public Sector, etc) to inform strategy and ensure consistency.

- Conceiving, developing, and compiling activity and other measures to provide decision support to Senior Leadership

- Providing planning support through agenda development, meeting management, and communications for National and Regional meetings and teleconferences

Qualifications

Education:

- BA/BS

Required:

- At least three years experience in healthcare or related scientific pursuits.

Preferred:

- Customer-facing/field experience, especially in vaccines

- Experience with resource development and PRT process

- Interest in scientific/thought leader strategy, advocate development, and clinical integration

- Aptitude and interest in scientific, clinical, and/or vaccine program implementation and measurement

- Analytical skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated negotiation skills

- Demonstrated leadership behaviors, including peer leadership

- Strong project management skills

- Ability to work independently and seek information and resources proactively

- Outstanding collaborator who can work effectively at all levels
