Faculty of Business, Economics and Law
The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) aims to provide a world-class business, economics and law education that opens minds and facilities possibilities for our students, alumni, staff and the broader community. The Faculty incorporates the Schools of Business, Economics and the TC Beirne School of Law based at the St Lucia campus.
The BEL Faculty offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs to approximately 9500 students which allow for a wide range of specialisations or concentrations, with a high degree of relevance to employers.

The role
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the academic governance functions of the Faculty and shape the strategic development of the Faculty's teaching and learning agenda under the broad guidance of the Associate Dean (Academic).
To achieve this, the Manager, Student Experience (Governance, Policy and Programs) will assist the Associate Dean in developing and executing strategic projects and initiatives related to academic governance, administration, and compliance/reporting within the Faculty. This position will also be responsible for drafting/managing policy submissions, guidelines and discussion papers and benchmarking the academic administration of the Faculty's activities and programs against UQ, national and international standards, thus supporting the Faculty's strategic alignment and positioning.
The Manager, Student Experience (Governance, Policy and Programs) will also engage in regular liaison with key stakeholders within our Schools and the relevant Central divisions to maximise engagement with our various initiatives and projects.
The person
We are looking for a motivated, highly-organised candidate with extensive experience in academic governance as well as data collection, analysis and reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to quickly build relationships with key stakeholder and strong initiative and problem-solving skills, are vital in this position.
Remuneration
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $90,107 - $101,179 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 17% (total package will be in the range $105,426 - $118,379 p.a.).
