Falkland Islands - Laboratory Manager
My client, a hospital in the Falkland Islands is looking for a Senior Biomedical Scientist / Laboratory Manager to provide cover for a 3-6 month period, which may be extended.
The hospital provides in-patient care to all patients needing admission, whatever their age or condition. You will join the Pathology Service which is looking for an experienced, suitably qualified, multi-disciplined, HPC registered, Biomedical Scientist to fill the vacancy of Senior Biomedical Scientist / Laboratory Manager in a unique environment.
Duties of this hospital based post include managing the multi-disciplined section, with a staff of three, to provide a wide range of medical, veterinary, public health and food related testing capacity, ensuring that the best use is made of the available resources.
You must have quality management experience as the Public Health laboratory is in the process of acquiring ISO 17025 accreditation.
The hospital will cover your travel to the Islands and back. They can also sort out accommodation for you if needed.
