Technical Sales Manager, BeNeLux Region, Home-Office, 70-80k

As Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for sales of fillers, binders, additives and resins to the architectural, construction and wood coatings markets in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg, which will require regular travel to coatings manufacturers to attain new business and develop new client relationships, allowing you to create fresh revenue streams whilst building your own network in the industry.

The company you will be working for started out in the Netherlands over 30 years ago and have expanded their operations across western and central Europe to ensure they can cover the core geographical markets of the coatings sector. They have an effective 6 man sales team each of whom is a technical specialist in either coatings, polymers or life sciences products, meaning that they can provide better advice to customers and have more confidence in their ability to sell to R&D and Production experts.

Responsibilites:

  • Business Development including market analysis, mapping and strategy
  • Proactive and cold-contact sales with new potential clients
  • Technical consultation on site with clients
  • Regular progress reports to the Sales Manager
  • Contract tender and price negotiation for products
  • Account Management of existing clients

Requirements:

  • 3 years development experience of water-based or solvent-based coating systems
  • Business level French, English and Dutch essential
  • Sales experience preferred but essential (training will be given)
