The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a small animal hospital and large animal clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.

The role

The School is seeking to appoint a Veterinary Nurse to provide nursing services at the Veterinary Medical Centre, Gatton. This position will provide support and assistance to professional veterinary staff and will also assist in the undergraduate teaching of veterinary students in a clinical environment. The successful incumbents will be required to work a rotating shift roster where shifts are continuously rostered 24 hours a days for 7 days a week.

The person

Applicants for this position should possess a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelors degree in Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) and ideally they should be able to demonstrate at least two years of previous veterinary nursing experience.

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at Hew Level 4. The remuneration package will be in the range $57,698.64 - $61,462.02 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $67,507.41 - $71,910.56 p.a.).

Shift loadings may apply in accordance with the relevant Enterprise Agreement.
