This critical leadership support position will assist in global strategy development for the corporation, working closely with business leadership and real-time input from the external environment (e.g., technology, competitors, etc.). This individual will work closely with the company’s leadership team and business unit leaders on strategy formulation and growth initiatives. Key responsibilities will include analyzing market, industry and technology trends and incorporating them into a comprehensive business strategy that extends PerkinElmer’s capabilities and contributes to top-line and bottom-line growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is a highly visible and critical part of the company’s strategy leadership.

- Assist in defining and driving the business to create a strategic roadmap and business strategy based on both market analysis and synthesis and meeting external companies to understand market trends and best practices
- Work with business unit teams to drive a high quality strategic planning thought process
- Drive analysis and recommendations on key strategic decisions for Environmental Health, including portfolio an market segment decisions
- Interact with senior leaders and peers on global Strategy matters
- Characterize the external market by establishing best in class monitoring, analytics and competitive insights
- Aid in the identification and understanding strategic fit of potential strategic business development opportunities (including acquisitions, licenses, and partnerships) ensuring the business has a healthy and relevant pipeline
- Up to 20% travel may be required
