    Theposition of Vice-Provost (Academic and Equity) is an exciting opportunity to provide participatory strategic and operational leadership to the learning, teaching, student experience and equity portfolios for the University. The successful candidate will hold a PhD and have an outstanding record of personal academic achievement. Evidence of success in leading new pedagogical developments at the level of a large school or faculty will be an advantage, combined with extensive experience in leading academic planning, policy and quality assurance. The successful candidate must also be able to provide evidence of active engagement with the equity issues facing universities, and successful actions in addressing the equity issues relevant to their past positions.

    Reporting to the Provost, this is a key role within the University’s senior leadership team. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, superior negotiating and persuasion skills, proven experience in leading, managing and motivating high-performing teams with the flexibility to lead innovative thinking in a challenging political and financial environment.
