Job Details

The Service Line Children’s Hospital is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children, in addition to imparting high quality undergraduate and postgraduate training. It consists of a group of dedicated full-time and part-time faculty. Besides the outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a paediatric ward with two units comprised of 84 beds, a dedicated 5-bedded area for paediatric neurology, a neonatal unit able to admit 18 neonates along with ventilator support at a time, a dedicated paediatric ICU and post cardiac ICU and round the clock critical care looked after by fully trained paediatric medical and nursing staff.

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to ensure smooth functioning of the service line and significantly contribute in achieving the goals and objectives of Consulting clinics and Inpatient locations in-line with the development and implementation of the annual operational plans in relation to patient care services and day-to-day operational activities of the Service Line - Children’s Hospital. You will also be required to fully engage in support of service line leadership to improve efficiency, maintain budgets, develop business and quality of clinical services, oversee the quality initiatives and implement quality standards as per the recommended measures by Joint Commission International (JCI) and International Standards Organization (ISO). Specific responsibilities include to:

  • Take quality improvement initiatives and assist the management in carrying Quality Improvement projects.
  • Manage incidence and complaints handling process, and ensure their timely solution
  • Perform patient safety related tasks including to identify patient safety issues and report to the management
  • Assist multi-functional teams in conducting detailed Root-Cause analysis as per the Institutional guidelines for the issues arising out of the clinical services provided
  • Assist clinical teams in identifying opportunities for improvement in patient care
  • Facilitate the management in effective bed management by ensuring timely admissions, discharges and transfers.

 

Requirements

You should have:

  • At least a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration or equivalent preferably with a MBBS degree
  • At least three years of relevant healthcare administration experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent operational planning, project management and marketing skills
  • Good understanding of budget preparations
  • Good knowledge of quality patient care and safety standards
  • The ability to work effectively in teams as well as inpidually and meet stringent deadlines.
