An excellent career opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage a Yorkshire Cancer Research funded programme of work that aims to improve colorectal cancer outcomes across the region.  The person appointed to the five-year post will manage all aspects of the programme.  This will include liaising with all members of the participating colorectal cancer multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) including senior consultants, nurses, MDT coordinators, data managers etc. from across the region, the partner NHS HVP team, Yorkshire Cancer Research, Pelican, UK and overseas educational teams and the project Faculty, co-ordinating data collection and analysis and facilitating the regional training interventions. Generating progress reports and the overseeing the administration of the programme will also be required.

The post holder will have a degree in a numerate discipline and significant post-graduate experience (preferably including a post graduate qualification) in a clinical setting.  Highly effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work individually and in a leadership role in a multi-disciplinary team, experience of project management and thorough computer literacy are essential.

Some travel across the region will be required.

This post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2021 and will be based at St James’s University Hospital
