Job Details

Are you an experienced and ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in colloids and interface science? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

‘Using novel in-situ characterisation techniques to aid formulation of complex, multi-component ink products’ is a project led by Dr David Harbottle  in collaboration with Johnson Matthey Chemical Products (JM). Your role in the project will involve characterising the colloidal interactions between the base material and individual surface active components in a typical ink enamel. A range of surface and bulk characterisation techniques will be utilized to determine which components provide the dominant interactions that govern the rheology of the ink enamel formulation.

With strong experimental skills and good technical knowledge in colloids and interface science, you will work closely with Dr Harbottle, and will visit and make regular presentations to JM.
