A position is available in the group of Prof. Andrew Fleming to work on a BBSRC-funded project aimed at creating a 3-D model of photosynthesis in rice. Using your expertise and experience in biochemistry and plant physiology, you will work closely in a small team consisting of a postdoctoral researcher and other technical staff to characterise a series of rice cultivars and supply these data to colleagues in a research network in the UK and China. In addition you will play an important role in growing and maintaining plants, keeping records and writing reports.

The ability to work in a team and maintain good laboratory practice is essential.

The position is based in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences, a leading UK organismal Biology department which provides an excellent and supportive environment for the proposed research (top 5 UK Biological Sciences, REF2014).
