Job Details

You will work within the Health Economics and Decision Science (HEDS) Section of ScHARR, undertaking health economics and decision modelling on a range of applied policy and methodological research projects. Specific approaches used, as part of these projects, include decision-analytic modelling (e.g. Markov and discrete event simulations), econometrics and policy analysis. You will work with senior staff to design evaluations, develop methodological work, undertake cost-effectiveness analyses and disseminate findings in peer-reviewed journals. You will be encouraged to develop your own methodological research interests that are complementary to those within HEDS and contribute to Masters-level teaching and supervision. You should have a Master’s degree or equivalent in a numerate subject, for example, mathematics, operational research, statistics or economics. A PhD in a related subject is essential for appointments at Research Fellow level and desirable for Research Associate level.

This post is full-time and for a fixed-term period until 31 December 2018. Previous applicants need not re-apply.
