The Executive Dean reports through the Provost to the Vice-Chancellor and is responsible for the leadership and management of the Faculty. The role is also key to the development of research, national and international marketing, and external engagement.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a highly successful faculty which includes one of Australia's best business schools. The Faculty includes the UQ Business School, the School of Economics and the TC Beirne School of Law. It has 9500 students, including 3000 international students, and more than 250 academic staff who have won numerous teaching and research awards and maintain close links with industry and government in Australia and internationally.

The University is seeking to appoint an inspiring and strategic leader with a strong academic background and a commitment to innovation in teaching and learning and the student experience. Importantly, they will need to be a team player and accomplished communicator, with the capacity to embrace ongoing change and innovation.

As the Faculty has a very strong engagement portfolio, the Executive Dean will also need a track record of industry engagement and of delivering with both alumni and donors.
