Minimum Requirements:

Professor/Associate Professor:

• PhD/D.Tech/D.Phil/D.Com and undergraduate study related to the field of Marketing
• At least six (6) years lecturing experience in Marketing or related fields at University level
• An extensive publications and research record in accredited journals that is consistent with the University’s Staff Promotion Policy
• Evidence of postgraduate supervision

Senior Lecturer:

• PhD/D.Tech/D.Phil/D.Com and undergraduate study related to the field of Marketing
• At least five (5) years lecturing experience in Marketing or related fields at University level
• Senior academic experience
• A proven track record of research that is consistent with the University’s Promotion Policy

Lecturer:

• A Master’s degree and undergraduate study related to the field of Marketing
• At least three (3) years teaching experience in Marketing or related fields at University level
• Research experience
• Must be at an advanced level of completing a doctorate qualification

Additional Recommendations:

• Availability to work evenings, weekends and sometimes away from home

Summary of Duties:

• Make major contribution to the academic quality by providing leadership of all aspects of offerings associated with studies of Marketing management and related fields
• Take responsibility for the teaching, learning and assessing of all aspects of offerings associated with the Marketing programmes offered by the department
• Lead, develop, design and review all learning content associated with Marketing
• Contribute to the research environment by helping and supporting colleagues and the supervision of post graduate students
• Plan and organize educational field trips for students where appropriate
• General administration
