The University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Wits School of Governance (WSG) through the Centre for Learning on Evaluation and Results Anglophone Africa (CLEAR-AA), invites qualified individuals of substantive stature to apply for the following position on a two year renewable contract basis at a market related remuneration package.  Reporting to the Executive Manager, the incumbent will be expected to support change management within a rapidly growing Centre. This will include providing strategic financial management and supply chain management systems relating to a growing quantum of work at CLEAR AA.   The position will be the focal point for financial management and contract management. 

The incumbent will be expected to:

•       Provide strategic financial management for CLEAR’s increasingly diverse sources of income streams as well as day to day operational management of the Centre’s financial and administrative systems. This includes: all financial reporting requirements to CLEAR’s various donors/clients/host institutions; fine tuning existing financial structuring of CLEAR AA business lines; relationship management with multiple donors regarding reporting requirements and ensuring CLEAR operational systems are structured to provide this information.

•       He/she is expected to manage and maintain existing Supply Chain Management systems with suppliers in relation to projects/programmes/short courses/workshops/events.

•       Provide secretarial support to the CLEAR AA Advisory Board

Requirements:

•       A Master’s degree in business management, economics or public administration and/or MBA.

•       At least five to ten years’ experience in a senior level position relating to financial / donor / project management of a non-profit centre. Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with various financial packages

•       Excellent interpersonal skills

•       Strong project management experience and report writing capabilities

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English)
