Job sharing arrangements and secondments can be considered

The Student Education Service at Leeds provides effective, consistent, high quality support for all students. The Service underpins every element of the student experience, from maintaining and improving academic standards to providing co-curricular opportunities and student support.

You will be part of a team providing support for student education processes in the Faculty of Environment, based initially in the School of Earth and Environment. Reporting to the School Education Service Manager, you will share responsibility for staffing the Student Education Service Office reception area, providing the initial point of contact for enquiries from students, staff, and other visitors to the office, and provide support for the administration of the School’s undergraduate degree programmes. Additionally, you will support Module Leaders with the administration of student coursework hand-ins, return of marked work and feedback, and organisation of student work for scrutiny by External Examiners for undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.

As a member of the Faculty Student Education Service Team, you will work flexibly with other members of the Student Education Service and where necessary support other Student Education Service activities as workloads fluctuate. You will share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange between colleagues to continually improve student education service practices.

You will have excellent problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills, and have the ability to establish positive working relationships within a team setting. Experience of working with students and of supporting student education practices and processes would be desirable. Training in procedures and systems will be provided as appropriate.
